Default Solid horse power recipes for LS1

Hey guys. I have a new stock 5.7 LS1 engine that is dropping into my 67 ChevyII backed up with a 4l60e tranny. It will be carbed using a Edelbrock performer intake and MSD ignition. Stock is pushing under 350hp I believe and I would like to get it closer to 400hp. Looking for some tried and true thoughts on how to get it there while continuing to use a carb set up, the carb most likely being a QF or Holley HP. Your help is appreciated.

Flywheel hp or rwhp? The edelbrock 2216 cam makes 460 fwhp on a stock ls1. Custom grind easily goes further.

So what does that mean for rwhp if your getting 460 fwhp. I have read that a cam upgrade can raise the hp but that seems like quite a bit.

Depends on the Trans, the rear diff and the dyno you are using. 460 fwhp can be 380 give or take at the rear tires depending on those variables.

400 fwhp is easy, headers, and your intake. Whp is a different story
