Gmmg exhaust on a v1
This MGW thread has really got me thinking about how to get all the parts I loved from my Firehawk to my V1. Has anyone ever tried to cut up a gmmg exhaust and install it in their V1? I think that is the best sounding exhaust hands down that I have ever heard. There are two chambered pipes that look like they could be cut up and ran easily w/the V's exhaust. Feel free to chime in with thoughts and advice. Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt cut up the fbody GMMG if you have one. Be a huge waste. X pipe kit in place of the resonator and some of these in place of the stock mufflers you can always add more under the car

It wouldn't sound the same as it did on the Firehawk due to the different pipe layout. True duals vs. the Y-pipe on the F-body...
I had SLP longtubes with cats and a Corsa Catback on my old SS 10 years ago. Currently have Kooks with cats and Corsa's on the V and LG Longtubes with Corsa's on my C5. All three cars sounded completely different from each other however. The mufflers are a similar design but i'm sure there are slight variations.
I would try something like the other guy posted. A different chambered muffler possibly or a Borla stinger type muffler. Never have been a fan of SLP loudmouths on any car.
I wouldn't hack up a GMMG.

Thanks for all the responses, looks like the chambered mufflers are in the direction I am looking to go. My first thought would not be to hack up a GMMG, didn't know there were similar type mufflers out there already. Again, thanks for the input guys.
