4.10 in C5 rear
Hey,
Been searching a ton and seems some of the early Motive gear sets were breaking when 4.10 were attempted or richmonds were super loud after 10k.
Has this all been settled and fixed now? I realize the 4.10 are weaker than lower gears in the getrag diff due to tooth size, but does that really only apply to launching with slicks?
I am a street / roadcourse guy so no launching here but there is sustained high torque down a straight and the last thing I want to worry about is a tooth breaking as I am going 150.
Thanks

Unless you recieved a defective gear there is no reason a gear would chip or break unless it was installed wrong or dumped at 6k. I have 4:10 in my c5 and snapped my 300m shafts launching and the gears were untouched. As long as you have a individual who is competent in installing and setting up the proper backlash and preload you will be good. I used rick @ RKT56. Vast knowledge and very talented. Give him a call also.
