Default Traded in the V

So i traded the V i on a nice 2012 charger srt8. I couldn't be anymore happier. Dodge did a really good job on these cars.

I've always loved the look of the newer chargers. I haven't done much research, is there much aftermarket for them?

Pretty much the same as gm cars. But some what higher. They finally released tuning for the car and some superchargers are out now.

Nice looking cars but I saw one go WOT to try and merge in front of me(driving an 04 jeep GC) and it took him to almost 80mph to pass me. Thing was a boat! I bet with the right mods itd be quick though. Looks great in black

Congrats on the purchase... of a moon lol I kid, I kid... I still can't believe how much they weigh though. Every time I look at them I always wonder... Where do they put it all? I mean they are pretty nice looking cars and all but they need to be dropped off at an obesity clinic for a few weeks. Just to put it into perspective... The curb weigh on my old suburban was 4600lbs for the base model (not including my 4x4 diesel).

Also, being that the listed weight is 4300lbs of the SRT and it makes 470hp... And the cts-v weighs 500lbs less and has 400bhp... I would think that "walk all over" wouldn't really be the case. That and they don't corner all that well IMHO. I drive chargers at work, granted they are R/T models, but when a crown Vic can out handle a car that is like 10 years newer in design, there is something wrong.

http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/t...-srt8-392.html

http://www.motorweek.org/reviews/roa...8_charger_srt8

12.8 @ 110.3 is what Edmunds got in their shootout with the challenger
12.9 @ 110 was what Motor week got in theirs

Id say from a roll that be a good run for a stock V.

For some reason I thought the aftermarket tuners had not yet cracked the ecm to be able to custom tune these yet. I could be wrong though.

Nice wheels

For a big car it really handles good. But not as good as the caddy. Also idk why dodge puts skinny 245s on the rear. I know the superbee is around 200-300 lbs lighter than my car. Witch one ran a 12.1 @ 114 with just a tune on stock tires.

Based on that first picture, you need to watch out for the parking lot curbs! That front end is going to get demolished.

Congrats BTW. I've owned an SRT8 and they are great cars.

Great looking cars. Same fatal flaw that kept me out of them when I picked up the V. No manual option. Not interest.

yeah it does suck. But the autos do have the quickest drag times over the 6spds.

I dont give a **** about faster. even IF you drag race. 99% of your driving is on the street. And I find manuals MUCH more rewarding and entertaining to drive than any auto ive driven. The wife has a G8 with the 6 speed auto. And its nice. But its not the same.

Nice pickup, a little different than the V but a very nice ride. They sure have gotten fast as they went to the 6.4L.
