Default Starting C3 conversion

Hey all,
I'm creating this to document my conversion on my 1975 stingray. It was bought with the original SBC 350 paired with a turbo 400. I bought it for the looks (because they are just damn cool looking) drove it on the hot rod power tour 2013 and now am in the progress of bring this 40+ yr old beauty into the 21st century.

Laid out plans so far:
LQ9 with fast system and cam swap
built 4l65e paired with mastershift paddle shifters
Dakota digital gauges
never night hid headlight upgrade
wilwood brakes
hooker side-pipes with pipe covers
Griffin aluminum radiator

What everyone think?

Should be a sweet setup when got are done with it. No 6 speed manual? Lol, just joking. My dad had a 69 that would run great with a 427 lsx under the hood. .......
Can't wait to see the progress

Default Its under way

The engine arrived this weekend and is on the stand to be torn apart.

Its a low mileage 05 LQ9 out of an Escalade ESV.
Also picked up a Fast intake/fuel rails and 90mm throttle body from a buddy.

Corvette has been torn to bare bones for most part.

Now time to upgrade cam/springs/lifters etc and mill the heads.

Couple shots of tear down and new parts. The cross member shows 40+ yrs of grim

Wish I could do a 6 speed set up but that would increase the budget too much and be too much of a headache to convert. Sticking with auto and paddle shifters to at-least get the feel of "grinding through the gears"
