Gears & Axles - Best brand of gears?

I want to get some 3.73's and wondered which I should go with?

Do Not Get Precision Gears. They Are The Nastiest, Noisy-est, Most Annoying Gear Set I Have Ever Owned, And They Were Put In Correctly. I Used 3.73's Also. (see Sept, 2000 Issue Of Gm High Tech Performance - They Could Not Get Them Right After 6 Hours Of Labor). I Have E-mailed The Company A Few Times Over The Past Few Weeks, With No Reply. Save Yourself Some Trouble And Get Genuine Gm Gears, From Pace, Or Any Gm Dealer.

If if have a good installer Motives are ok.
But with out a douth GM gears are the best.

I'm in the same boat. I want to upgrade from a 3.23 to 3.73 gear. I have read that aftermarket gears have a higher nickel content ... making them stronger, but, a lot noisier. Does anyone know if this is true? It seems a lot of folks here like the GM gears because they're quieter, however, are they as strong as aftermarket?

i just got gm gears installed in my car and no noise at all. make sure you have a reputable place do the install.
