I was driving normal ever since the rebuild i have not driven this car as hard as i used to. One morning I got off the highway and headed to work when suddenly from the stop when from first second then 3rd then it got stuck I was not able to pull it out and rode for a mile with it in 3rd then exited off the highway and was able to beat the shifter out. Then all the other gears worked good on the way home i was going to skip 3rd altogether forgot and got stuck again i beat it out put in 4th same thing all other gears work good just those. Anyone have any ideas and is this a quick fix or a shop fix. Transmission has a short throw shifter and was rebuilt 2yrs ago and only has about 7k miles on it. I just didnt drive as much since i got a Bike.

You broke or bent the keys in the 3-4 slider. Time to pull the trans for a rebuild and get new billet keys and carbon syncros. I would advise skipping 3-4 all together to avoid any other damage to the gears or slider.

Cool Guys I haven't Driven it anymore but pulling in and out of the garage. That Suxs but oh well guess that what you have to deal with when you own a hot ROD. LOL

This probably won't help but this situation has occured to me a few times when road racing. The pro's knew exactly what to do, they rocked the car back and fourth a bit and it came unstuck.

Beware some "billet" keys that are sold are actually just powdered metal and will break. Sounds like you may be a victim of this since your trans was rebuilt at one time. make sure you get them from a sponsor
