Default 01 silverado cooling system to 1978 C10

I just did the E-fan upgrade to my 01 5.3 Silverado and now have the stock cooling parts left over. I'm going to be putting an LQ4 into my 78 C10 and was wondering if the cooling system from the Silverado would work? Anyone else do it? Any tricks or tips are greatly appreciated. Parts I have are..Radiator, shroud and tank reservoir.

You could make them work, but you couls also just keep the stuff from the 78. Use the 78's rad, shroud, and the 5.3's fan.

I'm not sure if the stock 3 row copper is enough for the 6.0 You think that the stock cooling system would work?

I tried to use the stock Silverado radiator in my Impala and there was no way I could squeeze it in there. You might have better luck with your setup, but my frame rails would not allow me to get it low enough.

Also, the Silverado radiator is surprisingly thin. These LS engines apparently cool very efficiently and don't need huge radiators.
