It is designed to work with the CNC LS6 heads and Z06 springs. I have not seen any indication of needing to check PTV clearance, but i would recommend checking it to be on the safe side.

I have the SDPC LS6 CNC SCCA heads (milled 0.055") and the Grand AM /Cup/Gib cam.
Specs are 239/251, 0.570", 106 LSA. Ed Potter at Lingenfelter mocked them up for me and cut the valve pockets in the pistons while they sanded the ports and installed 2.02/1.57 valves in the heads. The pistons are stock and needed to be notched ~ 0.060" intake and 0.100" exhaust. Install soon. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Ed Potter and Lingenfelter helped me out Big-Time .I couldn't find anyone locally that would touch "LS1" pistons. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Thanks for the replies guys.My car is a holden VX GTS with a m6.I already have a comp cam 224 in /228 ex on 108 LSA ,with 1.8 rockers.with a few other goodies such as ported heads ,throttle body etc.

This car gets driven hard every day to 6600 rpm with loads of bottom end.

Happy with power, just want more & this new cam should rock.
Still not sure about p/v clearence.J-Rod said should be ok,do u no someone who has fitted it in without modifying pistons.
Binksz 06 modified his pistons .he did have heads milled.

Listen to binks... He actually has the parts in his hands. Gran Am allows you to replace the pistons, so PTV clearnace of stock pistons isn't an issue. As always, check them... But if binks had to do his. Chances are you will too.

aussie ls1- My heads are milled 0.055",which of course decreased the ptv clearance.Since the lsa is narrow the exhaust valve needed a 0.100" notch.

TXNC5 is running this cam in an'02 Z06. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
