Default 3200 Vigi good for Nitrous?

My buddy wants to buy my old 3200 Vigilante converter, but we heard that it's nearly impossoble to get a 4L60e to shift 2-3 clean without hitting the limiter. Is this true? I though the 3200 Vigi was supposed to be good for a sprayed car? Any info would help a lot. He's running an NX 150 wet shot. Thanks.

Is he still on the stock shift points and rev limiter? Is the transmission built? Most 4L60's won't make a smooth shift, but it isn't because of the converter. Most stock 4L60e's won't last through that much power. However, if the transmission will hold and it has been built right, the Vigi3200 is perfect. I haven't had any problems hitting the rev limiter but I have changed the shift points, raised the rev limiter and my tranny is built.

The tranny is stock, but it will be tuned for the nitrous by Speed Inc. at the same time of the converter install. Do you think he needs a prepped trans? Thanks.
