Default need help on cam specs please

I recently acquired a complete lq9 that ive decided to swap my 5.3 with in my s10. I have everything ready but am needing a cam, ive went through several ideas for heads but have finally bought a set of 821 ls3 heads for it. I will be running stock bottom end with rings gapped for nitrous, the ls3 heads milled .020 max, victor jr. Intake with the edelbrock 3848 elbow and 92mm tb and custom 1 7/8 longtubes. Truck weighs 3054 lbs with me in it, has a 4000 ptc convertor and landers built 4l60e. I also will be spraying the truck 200-250, anyone got any suggestions on cam specs for max effort? Driveability doesnt matter much and i will flycut if need be. Thanks in advance for any help. Lol

Wouldn't do that intake set-up on the Vic Jr.

I'd do carb'ed or 4150 TB and carb hat like what's on my set-up.

Id rather have a 4150 set up but im cheap and already have the elbow and all from the 5.3. I know theres some to gain but for the money the nitrous will make up for it. lol I want it to make pretty good power on motor but im mainly concerned with it workin best on the bottle.

I hope to get a 1/4 slip in your range with a 80's Malibu with no power adder, street tires and still run A/c although I could have went wilder but I asked to drive my car 5000 miles a yr.

I love me some g body and gotta love a driver car. Mine has went 10.20s with the 5.3 i just never updated my sig. Lol Mine is driven everyday, but its not very comfortable. It rides like hell and has no a/c. Im hoping i can get an idea of what cam will work best and get mine to run some mid 9s on spray.

Send Martin a email* not a pm *he will check it sooner...Look at the last post on my thread and that's the engine I came up with...Very simple 700hp I could have used a hyd. to get that but the cam would be something like 258 my solid rollers 256 is more like 252-250 dur. @.050....Hell a high compression E85 combo with a hyd roller in the mid 240's would have worked but Bigger injectors because E85 uses and burns more fuel to much Sh*t for me catch cans, bad fuel,etc.......I already had Fast injectors..So Solid roller was the way I went.

I do like your setup, its different than the normal build threads and i like how you build it right the first time. I wish id do things that way, i alwaysseem to make a pass then redo the whole setup. Lol

The main thing is to set a goal and then put it on paper...once you set it you can always add to it like I have bare L92 heads.....to have them ported $1300 .....Sell my heads $400-450 for both and Mast small port heads are 950ea. 1900-400=1500 So I'm going to save a 1000 and then I will decide more than likely I'm going with the Mast.....Think about this the Truck is already running take your time Port the heads and do all the little things right the 1st time and you, your truck and your pocket won't Forget it....I''ll tell you this a Small port program from WCCH and you will of the top get 40-50 more hp.....You know...... your going to rush and build it and then say I should have ported the heads I would have a very low 9.sec truck and it's simple it all about the details once you get under 10 sec or you my just add more dope....NOS

You have a very good point there I do have to say. Anyone else have any recommendations as far as a cam for my setup or mayb an off the shelf cam that may work good. Any and every help/input is appreciated.
