Default Trail Blazer engine

What engine will work in a 06 trail blazer SS? It has the 6.0 in it. Someone said it had to come out of a certain year vette or a trail blazer. I know I would have to change the oil pan and intake.

LS2 is the production LS engine that's standard in 06-09 TBSS and 05-07 c6 vette.

LS2 also available in 06/07 CTS-V, 05/06 GTO, and 05/06 SSR (which is the same GMT360 platform as the TB).

While I'm not certain, I'm guessing the only differences would be the intake/exhaust manifolds and oil pan. Perhaps some belt routing and location of alternator & A/C, but I truly don't know.

The LS2 can be either a 24x or a 58x engine as well. I know for a fact the 2005-2006 GTO is a 24x but some if the other LS2's can be 58 depending on the model car and year.
