The car was purchased from the original owner in 2005 with only 10,800 miles and has been in my family ever since – my father drove the car from 2005 to 2011 (putting only 6000 miles on it in that time), and I purchased it from him in 2010 upon my return from Afghanistan and have owned it since. The car comes with the original owner’s manual and documentation of all work and maintenance done on the car dating back to its initial oil change (complete with ALL receipts).
Factory Options:
• Six Speed Manual Transmission
• Preferred Equipment Group 2
o Heads Up Display, Sports Seats, Dual Zone Climate Control, Memory Seats, Power Everything
• Body Side Molding
• Dual Roof Package with Solid and Glass Tops
o Glass Top wrapped in GM Leather Case
• Polished Aluminum Wheels
The polished aluminum wheels were long gone when I obtained the car, replaced with some reproduction Z06 wheels that were already starting to peel. I removed these and replaced them with a set of factory GM Magnesium Wheels purchased on the Corvette Forums. Below are the other modifications I have made to the car over the past two years. Much of the work was performed by Frank’s Vettes in Spring, TX, and if you search for him on the Corvette Forums his reputation speaks for itself.
• Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Run Flat Tires
o Replaced at 15,000 miles
• LG Super Pro Long Tube Headers with Catted Y Pipe
• Stage II 3.90 Rear End built by Dick Guldstand
• Borla Quad Tip Stinger Catback
• Calloway Honker Intake
• C5 Z06 Springs and Sway Bars
• Bilstein Sport Shocks
• C6 Z06 Shifter and Shift ****
• CAGS 1-4 Skip Shift Eliminator
• Professionally Red Painted Brake Calipers
• Lloyd’s Floor Mats
Despite all of the bolt-on modifications, the car has never been raced, only played with on some country roads and freeways from time to time. All of the standard C5 issues have also been addressed - I have installed a Column Lock Bypass, fixed both rocking seats, replaced the PCM in both doors, and recently had a local trim shop replace the sagging headliner on the solid top. It also comes with the GM Bra, a GM Corvette car cover, an original 2002 Corvette dealer brochure, the original VHS owner’s manual that came with these cars new from GM, and the three volume set of GM Service Manuals.
I am not forced to sell this car, but am reluctantly testing the waters due to some major life changes within my family over the past couple of months. The car is currently located in Tucson, AZ and I own the car outright with title in hand. I have plenty of photos of the car, so if you would like additional pictures or information please do not hesitate to ask.
Asking $19,000.
