How much oil are you down in quarts when "LOW OIL" light comes on?

WOW....2 quarts? I was told, at least for the C5, that it is down 1 quart when the warning comes on..................damn, that is dangerous to run it like that before the warning appears............................

I had the low oil light come on once. I took 1.5 quarts to bring the oil level up to the bottom of the operating range on the dipstick. Then I added some more to take the level to the top of the operating range.

Its never good when that light comes on, start watching the oil pressure work its way down......

Humm, I am not positive about the C5 ... it could definately be different. In the F-bods you will need right around 2 quarts to get it back up to full from where the low oil light comes on. I would assume the vette is similar, but may not be.
