Right or wrong? Ive been reading my @** off all night and have come to the conclusion that the 87-98 hr cams will work in a 93-94 lt1. If so the gm part number 19244485 ( same cam as old gm847 spec wise) is a correct fit. Am i wrong and if so why?

It'll fit just fine. Just make sure you tap the dowel in a bit donut doesn't hit anything and you'll be fine. Biggest issue is the timing chain since that drives the 93/94 opti.

The dowl length is only diff tho correct? Same diameter and location to work with lt1 timing set?

Correct. Any Hyd Roller designed for 87+ SBC's will work.
