Default Few questions regarding LS street/strip

Currently I own a 1977 Buick Skylark, currently running a 350 4 bolt main with stock bore and pistons and crank, I am considering either going to a new LS engine or Stroking my current engine. I have a Lunati cam shaft with double hump heads, victor 4+4 intake, Holley 750 double pumper carb. 350 turbo trans with 3500 stall and 12 bolt rear with 4.11s, I do about a 7.85 - 8 flat in the 1/8th all motor.

Considering building a 383 4 bolt main with 150- 200 shot or either a 396 stroker 6.0 with 200 shot. Any information on yall's build that are similar would surely be appreciated.

Truly a butt puckering experience at the :38 mark where the back end kicked out. Good recovery though

OP, although this really isn't a "tech" section, i'd say build a 408 off of a 6.0 block then throw the ju1ce at it!!

Didn't really know where to post, kinda new to Ls tech. Ive heard that the 408 is a good engine to run, but I have seen lots of 370's 383's and etc out run them. Maybe was the combination they used wasn't matched.

Here let me help. You might want to pose this question in this section. Granny shiftin', not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didnt blow the welds on the intake. Almost had me? Now me and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the block, and replace the piston rings you fried! Ask any racer, any real racer, it don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.

It was mildly funny a decade ago. The resident retards have recently revived it, and then monkey see monkey do...
