Default LMR Reaper ZR1 makes 811rwhp on E85!

Just finished this Reaper Package ZR1 with a Flex Fuel conversion and needless to say the results speak for themselves! We tuned the car first on 93 octane and it ended up making 737rwhp and then we added E85 to the tank, made necessary tuning adjustments and it made 811rwhp!! A gain of over 70rwhp!

I'm guessing you had plenty of room with the injectors and fuel system to be able to handle the extra volume needed with e85. Very badass, sadly, there's no e85 around me or I'd switch over.

I would run it if it was available everywhere in my area so for now I'll stick to 93/meth with the occasional splash of unleaded race gas.

Is the Flex Fuel conversion seamless and can it handle different % of E85 in the tank?

Yes, during these pulls the computer was showing 63% ethanol content.

What size injectors? Great numbers on that boost level I wish we had E85 around here...

Funny how many people said the car lost some Torque

I apologize for my lack of knowledge but engine management does that beast of a Vette use for flex fuel management? I have been trying to do as much research as I can on how to setup a functioning flex fuel setup for my new 5.3 build. I was previously going to use a ProEfi 128 unit to handle that aspect with my 2J setup but havent found too much information regarding the capabilities for these cars....again completely new to these platforms. My concern is that once I leave my area and go on some longer road trips E85 isnt available everywhere and it would be great to just go to a gas station and fill up on Oct. if E85 isnt available and have no worries.

Congrats...killer results and thanks in advance.

Could you just throw a can of meth in the fuel tank with say 93 octane and run? Intresting idea!

Dose it onl detect methanol or will it pick up true octane of the fuel? Would guess it would have to do some in cylinder monitoring to understand that. Proably with some mean knock sensors that are perfectly tuned. Yeah it's not going to detect that is it?

I cant even begin to try and explain how it worked from a technical sense since I have almost 0 technical knowledge on how the ProEfi works. I cant tell you that it detects both E85 (alcohol content) and uses fuel blending tables to adjust the tune as needed. I may even be using improper lingo in trying to explain but you get the idea. So someone could go fill on E85, drive lets say 200 miles, pull up to a gas station, fill up the rest of the tank with 93 octane, and be on their merry way. The tune will adjust for the content and not allow the setup to be pushed into the danger zone. It will adjust the important aspects of the tune to make sure you dont get into any trouble.

Copied from the ProEfi website...sorry for the partial thread jack, still very interested on how this was accomplished in your setup OP:

Flex Fuel (ability to run any mixture of E85 with the ECU making on the fly adjustments to boost, spark, and fueling based on Ethanol content).

125# injectors and yeah, the reason the peak number is lower is because on the 811hp pull we didnt have anyone sitting in the back and it spun the tires on the dyno.

We are using the stock PCM to control this car. HP Tuners is now adding support for all the E40/E38/E67 operating systems to control this. Just have to add a sensor, wire it in, and enable it in the computer.

Nice, what are the IATs difference after the mods? Just curious, this seems to be a hard combo to beat.
