Default how about a 3.73 posi with a v6?

my buddy has a 3.73 posi for sale, and i want it for my firebird. it's a v6, and i'm wanting to know how it might do. he wants 200 for it, sound like a good price? he said the gears looked good when he put it in his car, but he totaled it yesterday

also, my car is a 5 speed. and how do i adjust for the difference in gears on my speedo and odometer? if i have to flash the computer, can i buy a tuner to do that? also, this one has traction control, and i have read something about the abs connector is 4 plug and mine is 3 plug or something, could i just swap that stuff over from my rear and still have abs?

Yes a handheld tuner or laptop tuner can adjust your speedo.

If yours has a geared speedo ring on the posi (3 channel) and his doesn't (4 channel), you'll need to swap it over during the install.

A used posi seems to go for around $100 and new gears go for about $150. I'd say he is giving you a fair deal but not terrific.

Read the stickys at the top of the section regarding the difference between 3 channel and 4 channel.
