Default ECM question

Hey guys, I have 2006 L59 5.3L that I plan to put in my 88 camaro. This engine has an electronic throttle body and I have a 700r4 to put behind it. I need to convert the throttle body over to cable but the ECM that came with the engine and harness doesn't have the IAC chip installed. Has a place for it but no chip there. Would I or a programmer be able to install this chip and program it to run with cable throttle or would I need to get a different ECM that has the IAC chip installed? If it can be done does anyone know a good programmer that can do this for a good price, if not can anyone give me info on which ECM would be best for this application? Thanks.

I agree. Controlling shift points, speed, and pressure etc with a ECM is awesome! Also you can set trouble code limits and ****.

I know what he means, if you remove the case of the pcm and lock, there is no IAC driver chip soldered on the circuit board, so the location for it is empty. He would just be better off using a pcm that came with the driver chip in it.
