LS3 Cam Selection at Altitude

LS3 Cam Selection at Altitude
Looking for a mild street cam for my mn6 Corvette up in Denver (5280'). Do I need to factor the altitude equation into my choice? What should I be looking for due to the lack of air up here? Really just want torque under the curve, not a 1/4 mile cam. Hope to get to what others have stock at sea level!!
Thx

Yes altitude will affect the cam choice. Best bet is to discuss with one of the sponsor cam gurus.
High altitude cams typically have less duration and overlap as well as valve events to increase DCR.

That's correct, but he still has lower octane fuel limitations still from the pump I imagine. OP what fuel do you plan on running/have available? Your total setup and tuner will be a factor as well if you can share details of intake/exhaust combo, auto/manual and max rpm that would help steer you in the right direction.

All we can get up here is 91 octane. It's a 6 mn. I don't care about peak HP, but I want to see added torque by 3000 rpm. I spoke to the tuner today and he claims to have had good luck with the Katech Torquer 224/236, 581/601, 113 LSA. I'll also do long tubes w/cats and a Haltech intake. Comments/suggestions appreciated.
