Default Timing.....?

Ok so I just replaced my timing chain cover seals, DID NOT remove timing chain cover. But cleaned out opti just to check it I put it all back together and nothing but a couple pops. I think the motor may have gotten turned while pulling the balancer hub. How do I realign my opti? The flat part of the spline gear lined up what am I missing?

You can only line the Opti up one way. As long as it is fully seated you pretty much can't mess it up.

plenty of people have misaligned the opti drives of both styles even though they "should" only go on one way.

Turning the motor over while the opti is off makes no difference whatsoever.

I agree check the firing order.
Also check the wring harness, I once had a female pin push too far up in the weatherpak and the car wouldn't start for 2 days till I found that.
