If you have an LT1 application and the trannys work, it's a good deal. When I see these deals and they need work, you have to do the #s crunching game. Spending a little more on an operational unit is alot more economical than fixing a pile of junk.

i need it for an ls1 application. so i need to swap the mainshaft and faceplate, and buy an adapter plate, because i'm putting it in my v6 firebird. so all in all, it will be about 550 just to make it work for my car. what do i need to look for when checking em out? i was thinking of seeing if it shifts and input spins output, and checking fluid for excessive shavings. what else can i do to price these things?
