Default 317 Heads

I have a 2005 6.0L LQ4 with the 317 heads that i'm going to be putting in my 71Z28 for street performance/driver. Wondering how much i need to have the heads milled to bring the motor to about 10:1? I have a LS6 intake, 1 7/8" dynatech headers and was looking at a TSP 228R cam for it. My friend is going to do alittle mild porting work on the heads and a fresh valve job. Would like to try to be close to 375-400 motor hp and be able to drive it without problems. I had a racey 406 small block that was in the car, now looking to be alittle more of a driver but not too lame! Also what should i be using for a throttle body and injectors? Would the factory camaro/firebird ones be ok? I don't have either one just got a deal on the bare intake. Trans is going to be a 4L60E and a 2800 or so converter. My rearend has 4.10 gears already which i may leave in or possibly go down to 3.73's. Not looking to get crazy with the motor stuff. Would like a nice lopely idle but still be streetable. The 406 was kinda over the driveable combo. Anything else i need to think about?? Thanks

Are you sure you have the LQ4? Stock 2005 6.0 with 317 heads sounds more like the LQ9 that came with the bigger rods

The LQ9 pistons were totally flat-tops without any lip on the edges? Mine have a slight step up on the outer edges of the pistons. It could be a older motor. I belive the guy i got it from said it was a 2005.

I think you should just run it. Is half a point of CR that
big a deal for a "driver" given that you're backing out
of hot rod territory to begin with?
