You might need to shim it to get it to work. That or use an adjustable master cylinder. Sometimes uncut stock flywheels and a brand new stock clutch need shims or adjustable master cylinder to work. If had not bought one already I would have bought it from the OP.

I have a resurfaced Monster 28lb flywheel on my car and didn't need shims, I have an adjustable master but I haven't touched the setting on it and it works great.

You got lucky. As I said before I have had a new stock flywheel, new clutch disc & pressure plate, and new slave cylinder and I could not get the car to go in gear. Rather than take it apart and shim it and then put it back together. I chose to go with a adjustable master cylinder to cure the problem. That is the reason that adjustable master cylinders are offered for sale. If you don't believe me go to the manual trans section and see how many people have had the same problem. Nuff said.
