I will be using Hp Tuners for tuning and a factory LS1 harness with a plug and play from BP.

I think im going to use a harness from psi conversions. I've heard alot of good things about them and they don't sound very difficult to install

Why not use the harness it came with and make it a stand alone?

For a harness you can use whatever you want, kinda comes down to preference really. Then just use a stock pcm and hptuners to tune it. For mine I used the stock computer that came with my motor and trans but since I'm not that great with wiring I ordered a custom harness from current performance wiring and it made it really simple, but as stated above if you are good with wiring and have some patience you can modify a stock one and make it a stand alone. Nice thing with the harness I got is that it came with everything I need and no cutting or splicing was needed and it came with the fuse box and all the fuses wired in as well. It also utilized some really nice wire loom, not that plastic junk.

How much do the stand alone harnesses run from bp? What accessories does it already have relays for?

Yeah I bought my harness and ecu from him with a base flash in it.

Me calling and talking to him is what made me but from him. There a lot of options for companies to buy from. But bills willingness to talk me through me being an idiot sometimes is great

Just talked to bill and he was very helpful. Wiring is definitely not my strong point lol. Are yall running maf, neutral safety switch, and vehicle speed sensors? I don't have any of these and I'm curious if anybody is running without these?

I don't have MAF. Neutral Safety is more/less an interrupt in the signal wire going to the starter from the Ignition Column, I usually incorporate that into the Starter Relay.

I talked to bill again tonight I think I'm going to order a harness and pcm from him tonight. Doubt think any of the big companies would be so patient and answer all your questions like he does. Great service

I was going to wait about a month to order it while I got the motor in its new home. Didn't have any idea how in demand those harnesses are. Good thing I called because with lead time it should put me right on schedule

Yeah I didn't realize that either till I started calling around. Glad you are getting it figured out.
