I have a 94 Trans Am with a LT1. The Knock Sensor harness is broken, the wire is actually broken off the sensor. What would this cause as for as the drive ability of the car. I've been chasing a misfire for quite a while. Could this be the cause of part of it?

I am no OBD1 expert but I believe the knock sensor not working should cause an SES light and can allow for detonation to continue if it starts. As most know this can eventually mean BOOM.
