Any interest in LS acc. brackets for non-LS (10si, 12si) alts and ps pumps?
Hey All:
Made these brackets, and they work well in my car, buddy's cars. Wanted to see if there was interest to justify making a bunch of them.
They're for truck accessories. Plates are 6061-T6 billet, spacers are 6061 rod, drilled for 10mm bolts.
Alt bracket is for older alternators, 60s, 70s, 80s, 10si 12 si etc. Bracket is two position to allow use with either truck, LS1 (with spacers), and 2010 Camaro pump. It uses the turnbuckle tensioner shown, not the stock LS tensioner.
The alt bracket works alone or with this PS bracket for the standard fitting 60s, 70s Saginaw power steering pumps. It would seem easier to use this pump in the older cars as then there's no fabbing lines or worry over metric fittings or higher pressures.
Cost would be approximately $160 for the alt bracket with tensioner and serpentine pulley. $80.00 for the PS bracket. Both would come with serpentine pulleys and take standard stocking serpentine belts.
It would seem a no-brainer for the carb guys, but it works equally well with EFI, though I'd probably run a mid 80s alternator with EFI, just for the sake of amps.
Thanks,
Steve
