Default Hello from the UK!

Hello Ladies and Gents,

My name is Jack, I am a student living in the UK. For a long time I have wanted a chevy V8 to drop into a project car, I am currently looking for an engine, but my lack of knowledge about the LS variants leaves me with many questions.

I thought I would ask you guys for help with these matters if that is okay?

I know it is a two way street, so I hope to contribute to this site too!

I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Regards
Jack

Let me tell you that a good GM V8 is the best engine out there. It's good to see someone that appreciates it from across the pond.

Thanks, the only problem is that they are harder to find over here! I was thinking an LS1 engine (but I don't know if there is an even better suited one for my needs or at least an equivalent) due to the Aluminium head.

I might look into shipping costs, as I want to rebuild the engine completely.

The LS1 is probably the most versatile. You also might want to look into a 5.3L from a truck. They're everywhere, and they're cheap to build.
