I use the RainX glass cleaner and follow it up with the RainX rain treatment. Its great stuff. Improves visibility dramatically. The only downside is that the wipers get a bit "grabby", but the up shot is that they dont have to be on as fast.

Regular wax works as good as RainX. I've been doing that for years. The wipers don't grab as much either.

I wouldnt say "regular wax" cause some idiot will go putting canned carnuba Turtle Wax onto their windshield. But yeah, if you use a spray wax it'll work wonders. You'll never have to use your wipers ever again.

I'm also using silicone wipers. They're a bit grabber than regular rubber, but they wipe better and should last the life of the car.
