Default No muffler

Long story short, my muffler literally fell off from the over the axle pipe, and I'm at work now and can't really monkey around with it. Turns out I need some hangers and without them, the exhaust doesn't really stay put, so I had to put the muffler in my trunk. Presently the over the axle pipe now dumps right out behind the diff. I drive ~11 miles each way to work. Will this survive through the weekend? Thanks, probably a stupid question.

Besides being super loud nothing will really happen, the exhaust may move around allot but that's about it.

Keep your windows rolled down, don't carry any kids in the car till you get pipes out the back.

You do know that people drive around with duals dumped before the axle all the time.

OP you should be plenty fine, the OTA pipe has its own hanger so it shouldn't even move around much.

I run dumped duals with no cats and a healthy sized cam and me and my kids a no more retarted than we were before. Take a look at my avatar; that's my little boy Titan and he rides like a champ with me every time I get the car out.

Your computer should be able to make the adjustments accordingly. I sawed mine off at the axle before switching over to true duals just to see what it sounded like.... The duals are way better

only reason you'd get exhaust gases in the car would be bad weatherstripping or cracks and holes in the floor pan so you'll be perfectly fine. enjoy the extra power from an unrestricted exhaust while it lasts

Nothing melted, my car didn't go schizo, and I didn't even notice the smell.

Ah well, appreciate the responses.

People love to over-react OP. A little exhaust fumes never hurt anyone, unless you're trying to kill yourself, and then it works pretty good, or so I've heard.
