Default Header removal on S10 LS1, pull engine!?!?

I have a 2000 S10 LS1 with sanderson headers. The headers went on prior to the engine install. I now need to remove the headers to do some work to them, however they are not coming out without removing the engine. Anyone know if they can be removed if the fenders and crap is all removed? I am not yanking the entire engine just to pull the headers

I had BRP longtubes on mine and they could be pulled without pulling the truck apart. I dont see why you couldnt pull shorties out with leaving everything in place.

Totally different swap (Lexus) so I have no idea what kind of room you have but in may car they have to come out the bottom. There is no way to get them from the top. May be worth a shot.

The only way I can get my f-body manifolds off is to pull the inner fenders or pull the entire fender. I have a 03 ext cab wit ha 5.3.

Take a pic, I cant see shorties not coming out from the top. The BRP longtubes come out in mine, but the tubes come out separate.

only thing I had to remove was the steering shaft.. I have never even had the inner fenders removed off my truck haha. with my log tubes I had to pick the driver side up a little but no pulling of anything beside the steering shaft was required.

I honestly think I can get the drivers side out with the steering shaft in place. The passenger side is the one that is super super tight. I might just pull the fenders and go from there. I will post up some pics so you can see....

Is the exhaust removed from the header at the collector flange?

If so, you will have to remove the drivers side by removing the steering shaft, and the passenger side may just need you to jack up the pass side after removing the motor mount bolt.

How did you put these on? Or did you purchase the truck this way?
