Default HELP with vats please!

I posted this on the general maintainence section and got no help. can anyone tell me in what ways vats can prevent me from starting my car? I did the resistor bypass about 2 months ago but now my security light is coming on and preventing me from starting the car. When this happened last time the security light just kept blinking for days untill I bypassed it. Now however it with come on and stay on without blinking for about 5 mins, then go off and I can then start it. Sometimes I have to go through this process two or three times before it will start. Any ideas what that could be?

If so is there anyone in Dallas that can? I'm getting pretty fed up with it. Sam told me something about that when I had a problem on my z28, but he is impossible to get a hold of...

I could... But it's my DD and as it is I'm still able to drive it. I just have to deal with a daily headache from it. I would be willing to pay for a full tune and all from a tuner aswell. I know Sam is a damn good tuner, but as I said above I can never get a hold of him.

I'm surprised the resistor bypass didn't fix it. I had the same exact problem and did the resistor bypass and the problem was solved. Have you thought about maybe changing out the ignition cylinder to see if that fixes is?

I think I might. This happens often without the security light coming on aswell. May just be that the ignition is going out. Already replaced the relay... Didn't fix it.

Double ccheck tthe resistor you put iin there.

IIf tthe resistor is still in place properly then you probably have a BCM issue
