Default HP tuner logging questions

Does HP tuner PRO let you log wide band readings with just the interface box or do I need the computer? Its kind of a pain carrying the lap top in the car making a pass. any input would appreciated thanks.

Yes, HPTuners has standalone datalogging. You only need the laptop to configure your datalogs and upload the config to the cable box. You include everything you want to record in the config then upload it to the box.
After that you can do several datalogs without a laptop, you only need to push a few buttons on the interface to start/stop/create datalogs.
