Default Hanging idle while vehicle is moving, help greatly appreciated

Wanted to see if any of you had this issue and got it resolved or not, what i could adjust to help it, etc. Car is a 2000 ws6 ram air, specs are in my sig, vehicle is tuned with hptuners. Now onto the problem which is while driving the car, if i push the clutch in while the vehicle is moving the idle will hang at around 2k, it will do this till the vehicle is at a complete stop. Any ideas people? Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Check iac selonoid to see if it is sticking. This happened to my car. New iac solved the problem.

My car started doing the exact same thing after I ran the battery dead. The idle will hang at 2k while rolling and the instant it hits 0mph it drops to the 800 rpm idle.

I have not looked at mine to hard yet. I know that it is not the iac as I can control it. I beleive it is a speed signal related problem

Are you getting a service vehicle light? Not a check engine light.

Your problem sounds identical to mine. Soon as i come to a stop it idles fine. I do have a code for a generator L-circuit, but i've looked into this and doesnt appear to be whats causing it unless i've fallen across some false info.

My car does the same thing. I have no idea what causes it. I'll be watching this thread.

is this something the car always did after it was tuned? or did it start happening all of the sudden?

Mine does it too but only goes up to 1,050 rpm and back down to 750 rpm until I get below 13mph. My target rpm is 800.

My car does sort of the same thing but not anywhere close to as big of a difference as you guys are seeing. If I'm rolling along in neutral the idle hangs around 1000-1200, then drops down to 800 when I stop. I have a C0055 rear wheel speed sensor code due to my 9" with 4.10s (i think?)

Tuner is supposed to come by and run some more tests on it, car has done this ever since i did the engine and gears. Tuner hasn't tuned the vehicle for the gears or different size so my speedo and stuff is off, we're gonna look into thw vss if it does indeed affects the idle. Also gonna look into the base running airflow tables like you guys were saying. Thanks for all the suggestions, i'll keep everyone posted on how it all turns out.

Mine started after I ran the battery dead. The car had been tuned for 6 months before with no problems.

Hmmm... this has been happening to me, too. Car was cammed and tuned with no issues, then I started getting hanging idle after install of new clutch with 20lb flywheel and FAST102. I went through many rounds of tuning, and the last tune lowered the base airflow enough to improve the situation, but not solve it.

The current situation is that the car will run normally during the first 20 minutes from cold start, but after that it will hang when rolling in neutral at around 1600rpm. I can actually trick it into lowering the rps to idle speed, but briefly engaging too high a gear so that it lugs for a faction of a second. Anyway, the hanging idle seems to be speed-related too, because the idle will decrease with speed. Sometimes its worse with the AC on, sometimes with the AC off. Any ideas guys?

When I went to a bigger tb I had to put a small amount of epoxy around the opposite edges of the butter fly to make it seal and idle right. There is enough of a gap on a 102 to mess up the idle from leakage around the butter fly.

The throttle cracker can be adjusted for light fly wheels. Mine is turned off. My entire clutch assembly weighs less than your flywheel.

I could understand is something had been changed or added. But my car has been tuned for over y6 months and nothing has been changed. Therefore the tune should not be the issue.

Ok everyone, finally got to play around with the car to try and fix this issue. I did find the problem and it has been resolved. First i checked the vss to fix my speedo, of course this didnt fix the hanging idle, ended up adjusting the throttle cracker like one of suggested, pulling a little bit of a percent out at a time and this in turn fixed the issue, car now falls to idle when you push the clutch in at a roll. Thanks everyone for all your help and i hope this helps you guys out.
