I don't mean to mess up your thread but Im wondering if you personally have tested these turbos on an ls engine.

Reason I ask, my self and a few others have had horrible back pressure issues especially with the billet comp wheel and 79 turbine.

they switched me out to the cast comp wheel and it helped a lot but it was still done at 5200rpm. Since comp sent me a ct5 with a ct43 cover, 88mm comp 94/88 turbine and that thing rocks.

This was 2 years ago so maybe they changed some thing. Just an fyi if you haven't tested yet, I run a 370 ci.

Yes, we have several customers running the 7879 setup with no hint of any back pressure issues, making upwards of 700 rwhp and continuing to pull well beyond 6k

How does this 76/79 compare to the bw s475 power wise?

The technology in these is much better than a box stock S475. Both will react differently on different set-ups, but for an LS motor up to 370 CI, I would run one of these all day long, and they package MUCH nicer than a BW

Cool thinking about running one in future since I dont have to re-do my turbo kit. I got a stock cube forged ls1 and looking for around 800rwhp thru an auto.

That is the beauty, these drop in to most turbo setups with the T4 flange and 3" v-band exit. They package so nicely and pack a huge punch as well

Let me know what exact specs you are lookin for on dimensions and I can take them for you. It is a 4" inlet and 3" outlet on the compressor with a t4 flange and a 3" discharge on the turbine. Physical size is near identical to the turbonetics t series and the precision pt7675, however anything specific just let me know and I can take that measurement for you!

So are the physical dimensions the same as a Turbonetics 7668? At least on the hot side, the cold side is much more flexible. This would be a nice bolt-in upgrade for my 5.3L Silverado

Would it be a worthwhile swap for me going from a Turbonetics 7875 on my LQ4? Figured you might have a decent idea since you sell a lot of all three turbos listed. My 7875 drops off pretty good after 5700 rpm. I am sure a cam change would help me a bit as well though.

Yes, direct replacement to that turbo! Hotside is the same. If you are running the t series housing the cold side will also be near identical other than the 3" outlet opposed the 2.5". If you have the tc housing this one will be a touch bigger on the compressor siZe but not much!

I don't think a big enough difference to justify the change. If you want yours to carry through the rpm range higher I would switch to the 1.15 housing though!
