Why is there two ignition 12V feed connections in a LS2 PCM?

Why is there two ignition 12V feed connections in a LS2 PCM? I know it sounds like a silly question, but why is there a (Ignition 1 12V+) and (Ignition 3 12V+) in a LS2 PCM (E40)? and why they skipped number (2)?
