Default Takes a lot of cranking to start

Car is a '02 Z28 polished 241's, VRX5 cam, bolt ons. Anyway when the car sits for any extended amount of time(1hour or more) when it's cold it cranks alot before it starts and when it does start it's runs rough until i let it warm up. I pull up the RPM's for a few seconds(1300-1400) and then it'll idle and run fine. It almost seems like an injector leak(flooding the cylinder a little when it starts and that's why it runs funny. I had issues back in the day on my '96 Z28 that caused a lot of cranking to get it to start but that was a fuel pressure regulator. It drives me nuts so any help is appreciated. Ive found if i turn the key 3-4 times before i crank it'll start up just fine.

No I checker with a tech 2 my dads body shop has. Only one I got was alternator code and it was a history code. Cleared it and checked again and no more code anymore so it must be old.
