plates came in, decided to compliment the dtrl's with orange plates. I found pics of orange calipers on blk cars and some look real good. I am not going to murder out the car, I like it with the little bit of color. Opinions?

something like this...

I can put the orange sidemarkers on if necessary.

imo, you should try to match that emergency "school bus" yellow/orange plate. I hate orange DRLs on my car but on black i don't really mind it. I agree on going back to stock sidemarkers.

I think matching the yellow of the plate would be better, imho ... great looking car nonetheless. Do you have to rock a front plate in VA?

Exactly this.. I havent been stopped for it, and I'm a badge myself so no tickets if I did, but I didnt want to run the risk since Im about to do some other things to the car which will definitely attract more attention.

I think you guys are right, the plates arent quite school bus yellow in person, but definitely lighter than the lights. Ill go back to orange side markers and pick a caliper color that hopefully blends to two or matches the plates.

I like bright colored calipers on black on black combos. Gives a nice accent to bring in some color. I still want to do mine in either a yellow or lime green.

Go to a track day... you can get goldish/orange front calipers fairly easy... the rears take some work.

There's a fascinating crossover of appearance and performance focus with these cars, I'm finding.

Me, I'm thinking of dipping my wheels bronze so the brake dust doesn't show up as much.

ps to OP- when your wheels, windows, and grill are black you're "murdered out".

No no I mean murdered out... the way some guys do it. Blacked out lights, emblems, the whole nine. I have left pockets of contrast on purpose ie chrome lug nuts, lights are stock, v emblems etc. Definitely a difference. I think I am going to go with the plate color rotors and put my orange corners back on and see how it works.

Thanks for all the opinions

If you just want to keep the brake dust off, try this stuff:

Amazon.com: Armor All 78482 Wheel Protectant - 7 oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: Armor All 78482 Wheel Protectant - 7 oz.: Automotive

It works great. (be sure your wheels are dry when you put it on, otherwise the wet spots will still get brake dust)

More of a copper color would be cool. I went with brembo gold, but really wanted more of a copper look.

Off topic, but you NoVA guys (I live in Arlington now until Feb) interested in hitting up the Cars and Coffee in Great Falls sometime?

On topic, I have the yellow V2 calipers for my car. Yellow on black looks good I think.

I would if I was up there, but thats a 3 hour hike for me. I just bought the G2 orange kit, kind of a burnt orange color. Just got to get it done somewhere.
