Default LSX 93 coupe drag car build

Picked this thing up a while ago and am just now getting around to working on it. Goal with the car is mid to high 5's in the 1/8.

First off I would like to thank Sharad at UPR products for the killer suspension parts. I pretty much got the whole kitchen sink from these guys.

Chromoly k member
Chromoly a arms
Pro series coil over conversion with 14x150 springs
Billet caster camber plates
Full length subframe connectors
Torque box reinforcements
Chromoly DA upper and lower control arms
And a pro series anti roll bar

So we ripped out that cherry 60k mile 2.3l engine and trans that was in it to begin with

And removed the old k member, a arms, coil springs, and struts. And installed the UPR k member and a arms.

That's where we stopped so far. I did get some more goodies from the brown truck Santa clause though!

Here is my strange single adjustable struts with the UPR coil over conversion.

Mike Abney over at Nitrous expressed hooked me up with a killer nitrous plate!

Next up I plan to strip the entire car to a shell from all wiring and interior etc.

The car will end up re wired with a leash electronics sportsman wiring board.

Plans under the hood are a SBE 5.3 with a custom nitrous cam, some rod bolts, maybe ported heads, a victor jr with a carb and my plate kit.

Trans plans will be a home built glide and a custom Torque converter from lane over at PTC.

I will update more as the build progresses.

By the time we had it all stripped the front of the car was so light you could see daylight in between the car and the lift pads.

At this point I just have to pick up a 8.8 and do some fabrication and paint work to do while i save some more money. Only things that need to come out now are front and rear bumper supports and door bars.

Picked up a 8.8 rear and a Moser 31 spline lightweight spool today. So this weekend I can clean it up, weld the axle tubes, paint it, and hang it under the car with my UPR control arms.
