2004 cts v Trac problem
2004 cts v. I can't seem to get the competitive driving or stabilitrac off. I've tried holding it down for awhile. Tried pushing once then pushing again. Only thing that ever happens is the "tc" light comes on. Last night it was sprinkling and I tried to get side ways a little and it just opened up. Any help would be great. Thanks guys

Just to start with the basics:
1. TC off: pres button once
2. Competition mode. press once, then press again within 5 seconds - Navigation screen will confirm
3. Stability off: press once, then press and hold for a few seconds until it says off on the navigation screen.
Now with the basics covered. Do all of your tire pressure monitors read correctly (IE no -- and not too high or low that it flashes at you? they have some safeguards to prevent it from turning controls off.
Have you had it in competition mode before? There is a case where the navigation does not know it is in a CTS-V and thinks it is a base version (you should still be able to shut everything off though, just no competition mode)

Ok when I go to the tire pressure screen on the gauges only the driver rear and passenger front show a tire pressure. Are the tpms sensors bad or maybe just need to be re connected?

I doubt they are bad, for some reason mine don't show any pressure when they use to work. I haven't tried getting into troubleshooting though. I think there is a way to reset them, on the cad faq

Probably bad or maybe the batteries are shot. Happens a lot. My passenger rear is flakey. Flashes a warning at least once a day then goes back to normal. As Fuzzy said, it won't allow comp mode without 4 good sensor readings.
I believe you could also remove them entirely and after a few miles the ECU will ignore the missing sensors and allow comp mode again, but you should search around to confirm this.

The TPS system is really only for the run flat tires.
I had them pulled out, and put them away where the car can't read the RFID signal. Just regular old valve stems in there.

With the sensors gone all TPMS readings will show "--". I believe after driving around a few miles the system will ignore the missing sensors and allow TC off and Comp mode.
I believe you can also pull a fuse (don't know which one offhand) from the fuse block under the rear seat to disable the TPMS but I think it also kills the keyless entry. You might try this method just as a quick test.

Pulling all the tpms sensors on an 04 will leave you with "--" in the sensor data values. You will be able to engage comp mode and/or turn stability off. I've had mine out for a while and it is wonderful, no more false readings or annoying hold backs.

I read that you have to run it for 60 miles or so to get them to clear. And the sensors need to be well away from the car, so if you have them in the glovebox it's not going to work, haha.
The fuse to pull is the remote trunk release in the driver's side rear fusebox. It disables keyless entry and trunk release as well as TC.
FYI I'm 99% sure CM works even if the radio is misprogrammed.
To check that - go to settings (I think?) from the main screen - see if it shows "SW control". If it does, it's offering you the chance to change the base model's steering wheel buttons (which doesn't work on the V).
I tested it by trying the three different settings and doing a donut.
1) no chance
2) autopilot donut
3) ***** out silly
So, check your TPMS, check the SW control menu, then try to get into CM (push/release/push) and test it out.
