Worn out Nitto DRs worse than new DRs?
Well, I've gotten about 12,000 miles out of my Nittos, along with the occasional burnouts at the track. It's been a little over a year since they were new. Lately I've been noticing I spin a lot easier from a stop than I used to before. Even trying to take off slowly, they spin a little. And when I floor it from about 20 mph, I can forget about hooking. I haven't changed anything suspension wise from the time I bought them new. I Usually keep the tires between 20-25 psi. My current tires only have a little thread left about an inch from each side. The center is worn down flat. Is it time for me to get new Nittos? Thanks for any info.

I've noticed the same thing with my Nittos. Once the center lost any tread, I don't hook as well as I used to but then again I haven't heated them up in over a year.
