Hi, I recently built this computer and need to sell it for tuition for the fall. I built it to use for high end movie editing,intensive gaming,autoCAD and Pro-E programs and music editing. It is a much higher quality computer than anything you could buy from dell,hp etc. The watercooling system eliminates any overheating problems and it much quieter than a normal air cooled system. The entire case glows blue with UV light, which are mounted in the case. The coolant also glows(I have new pictures of this). It is a very nice alternative to a dull,loud, and plain white box computer and will outperform anything that costs twice as much.The DVD burner and CD burner was $450 alone. Is that good or bad?

Let's just say, not very good. Minimum these days is a gig of memory and to get the DDR speed, the sticks need to be identical in size. So the actual speed of the memory reverts back to a single data rate.
I'm not gonna bash this dude but the price seems pretty high for this set-up.

Um it's a custom watercooled system. Not a air-cooled Dell. As for memory I currently have OCZ EL Dual Channel gold 1gb*2 ,but thats not going with the system. Do you have any watercooling or overclocking experience?

As far as my overclocking capability, I have plenty. But these days who needs it ? We are talking 3 Ghz procs, not a 300mhz celeron A oced to 466 mhz.

BUT the biggest hint that you really don't have any computer experience, other than what you've read about online, is the fact that you recommend a EXOS!! HAHA are you kidding? An EXOS is the ricer wing and fart can of the overclocking world, it is a complete POS with a mini-pump and tiny 8mm tubing. The tubing is also prone to cracking,aka leaks (which I never have experienced, and i have been watercooling since high school lol).

I stand corrected on the age of the video card, I mis-read the description so my apologies on that. It is not a 2 yr. old card (but Nvidia wish it was) and it's a piece of junk for gaming; I know it and you know it (intensive gaming ??? :huh: .
Here the latest price from newegg.com but you prolly buy your parts from COMP USA or at the flea market so you wouldn't know where to check:

You need to put down what you have been smokin' and proceed to the nearest sanitation dept. cause you are full of :bs: . This is no SUPER COMPUTER by no means. Maybe in YOUR terms but do your home work. If you call it a SUPER COMPUTER becuase it's water cooled then you don't have a clue. For all we know, you picked this thing up at the Flea Market or a Ham convention for $200.

You have 2 drives and they are prolly a master/slave set-up and one of them is obsolete so that means that they ARE both running at the slowest speed since they are on the same channel.
You state that you have 6 channel audio ? Duh..............it's prolly built into the mobo ( thaz motherboard) so now it takes clock cycles to process the audio stream............so much for the "SUPER COMPUTER".
Oh, I forgot about the KEWL lights. I bet that they make it run 10-15% faster ?..............***News flash*** light produces heat.............good thing that you
got that thar water cooled setup that sits OUTSIDE so it STAYS quiet.
What's a guy to do if he CAN'T sit it outside ? Listen to that noise all the time I guess or he could put it in the kitchen and run the hoses threw the attic'

SMP? Are you kidding? Please name OS's or programs that can take advantage of this? Photoshop and what else? You could count them on one hand. Also take a look at current SMP boards, see any that are overclockable? Find one with a bios changable FSB,multi, DDR voltage,core voltage,divider etc. Good luck buddy haha. Oh and SMP means Symmetric Multiprocessing btw lol. Quick question, what would perform better, 120*10 or 100*12.....exactly.

This is a PC not a fileserver. RAID is useless when the newest drives have seek times in the 4.4 range, and 2gb of DDR.

350WS6, I am going to have to side with '01PEWTERTA on this....

1. The geforcefx 5200 is the bottom of the bucket FX card. (I have a FX5600 and it can barely keep up...)

2. 640mb of ram is just kreepy... why not two 512 sticks? Or two 1024 sticks? Or one 1024 stick?

3. A spankin fast proc. is nice to brag about, but when your other components cant keep up, it doesnt matter the speed one bit. My 1.4ghz P3 with 512k L2 has to wait on my fx5600 and my ram to catch up, me getting a faster proc. would not lead to better in-game performance.

4. Did I read: "ATI GEforce4 dual monitor video card" correctly? (I copied and pasted that, btw)

5. RAID is not useless on a gaming PC, quite the contrary. A nice RAID 0+1 setup on two 250gb drives would be very nice for many things, audio/video come to mind.

6. "6-channel sound" gets you nowhere if it is onboard sound. (Tell me if its not) My Sound Blaster Audigy2 Platinum spounds very nice ;-). Dolby 6.1 with digital out.

In conclusion: Its a cool PC. To be 'ultimate gaming machine' it would need some work.

As for Raid do me a favor...Look up seek times for a raptor HDD and then for a RAID 0 or 1 set-up, yeah they are that close.

Finally you really should read before you type things so you don't look foolish, If you did you know that I have a 1992 WS-6 with a L98/T-56, which is in fact 350 cubic inches.

I'm also going agree with everyone that posted. You advertise a "supercomputer" and are selling just a computer with a fancy case and a water cooling system. It DOES NOt matter what is in the machine right now. The only thing that matters is WHAT YOU ARE SELLING. Who gives a **** what ram is in there right now and you are going to take out to sell.
The raptor hdd are a marketing scheme. If you look at HDD comparisons the Western Digital Special Edition drives are just slightly slower than the raptor drives. Not enough for the extra money. Hard drives are only as fast as the ide controller on the board. The core logic for the ide bus on all boards has not changed even with the intro of serial ata drives. It still goes through the same bus and speed. Raid is the best for performance. Who ever told you different is wrong.

I think that you need to rephrase the super computer to just say "water cooled computer"

No one is attacking you here, if you posted "For sale: Hypercharged WS6 for sale!" and it was a stock v6 Firebird, youd get the same results.

I'm going to start off by saying that i'm not bashing you or your computer experience you sound knowledgeable but you just don't have a "Super Computer" What you have is a mid-class computer with a cool case and some pretty's. And as far as the raptor HDD yes it is fast but get a set of SATA Raptors then put them in raid and see how fast they are. Like Glitch77 said everything needs to be fast not just part of the system. No point in having an 8 lane highway when the street dept went cheap on 2 miles and only put in 2 lanes. You know what I Mean?

I say if someone were to come in uninformed, as people do everyday at the many various retail stores, and think this computer is a deal and buy it, that's their problem. What it comes down to is: Is/was the computer mis-labled/titled? Most more than likely. Does stuff like this happen everyday? Yes. So why make this case special?
