Default 5.3/4l60e swapped 68 c-10 short step, slower than expected.

So, bone stock 5.3 with a spectre cai and tune, 3.73 gears and a 28" tire and I only ran a best of 15.67@83. I ran it on the stock tune and ran a 16.38@80. This seems pretty slow to me, I was expecting high 14's or at least low 15's. I did have a crack in my intake that I sealed up, it's possible that it is still leaking a bit. Would that cause the slower times? My afr stays right where commanded.

Oh, and I just went and weighed the truck after work today, 3780 with me (205 lbs) and the fuel cell full (16 gallon).

Opinions?

It should be running low-mid 14's at 3800lbs.... What was your 60ft time and 1/8mile speed and time? Also what transmission are you running? And what about exhaust system/headers?

Roger that fella. What is the altitude up around your area. Your 60ft is definetly hurting you some spinning out of the hole. Have you looked to see if you have any codes? And how was the tune done, on a dyno or on the road?

1260 at the track, DA was right around 2000 on that pass. No codes, and I'm doing the tune on the street and finalizing it at the strip.

Here is my tune, config and the log from the quickest run. I had to add .tun to the config file, just delete .tun and it should load.

throw some timing at it, your O2 readings don't really correlate with your wideband readings...are the O2 sensors in good shape ?

The drivers side is my plx wideband, it simulates the narrowband signal. I only ran it for 5-6 months in my TBSS then the last 2 months in my truck. The passenger side I have no idea, it is the one that came with the engine/trans.

Oh and it is low on timing because my iat sucked and pulled 5 or 6* but I don't think that made that much difference in my times.

that will make a huge difference in power going from 26-27* down to 21-22*... that would explain why your trap speed is so low

That is good to hear. I need to take it back to the strip and play with timing I guess. That doesn't explain my crappy fuel mileage, but honestly I don't care much about that if I can get it putting the power out it should.
