A set of the patriot gold duals with Ti retainers and Super 7 locks will be loads better than the stock lock setup at supressing the harmonics. The springs are really nice too.

Checkers,
Take your stock lock and move it up and down in the bead groove of your valve. Now imagine that movement at high rpm in a modified LS1 plant. Individual engines have their own frequency characteristics. ..end result their own distinct harmonics. Your combination doesn't agree. I would look at going with a dampered spring to absorb the harmonics.

Up until this year, almost all guys were using stock locks. They are not the problem. Your springs are the culprit. It'd be nice to know what springs you are using...Are they single or dual? If the springs are stiff enough, the valve locks should never move.

What type of springs, retainers, and locks would you go with? This only advise West Coast Performance has given me was to go with newer style Rev Duals which is what came in the heads.

well, there's your problem. so many people have the rev duals break, and break often (don't ask me how i know ). i bet if you get a different dual spring, like the patriots or cranes, that this problem will go away. the rev springs are total junk, IMO.
