Default Tick master monster stage 2 review

I just wanted to add my comments about this set up for guys out there who are curious and may be considering this set up. I ordered from tick performance there adjustable master, speed bleeder, and the monster stage 2 kit. Just like you probably expected I LOVE!!! This set up. The pedal feel is awesome! Def stiffer than stock but not overwhelming. The clutch has zero chatter and engages very smooth. Ticks customer service and shipping times are top notch. Def worth the money paid for there products. And don't even think about Trying to do a swap like this without the speed bleeder it's a life saver and makes the bleeding process so easy. The clutch kit was drop shipped from the manufacturer and it was packed very well. It took a couple days longer than I expected for them to ship it out there door but it was worth the wait. Thanks tick performance and monster clutches!

I have the Monster Stage 2 and 18lbs flywheel with the Tick master in my c5 and it's the best thing I've ever done. Makes the car so much more fun!

Ive been debating on getting the 18lb flywheel. I do autocross the car, but its mostly driven on the street.

My car's a daily driver and I live in a really hilly region in Arkansas and I actually like the 18lbs flywheel TONS better. Your driving habits have to change but you can still release the clutch without gas. You don't have to give it bookoo's of gas like everyone "perceives" about them. I think you'd love it!

I do around 15-20 autox events per summer...i've got a tick MC and a Monster Level 2. i also have the 18lbs flywheel...Its a solid setup. good for lapping/autox and very manageable on the street.

i did not notice a big difference in acceleration or deceleration with my current setup over the stock setup i had previously...most likely because the totally clutch assemblies (ie flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate) weigh around the same...pretty sure the monster is a few pounds lighter and substantially more robust...

The monster unit does its job so i'm a happy customer.

Got mine from Martin as well... 18# FW and the whole 9 yeards. The smooth engagement and being able to "feel" the car was a night and day difference to me.

Monster is top notch, as is the customer service from Martin, no doubt.

Thanks for the kind words guys and appreciate you all choosing a Monster!

Oldman, sorry to hear you're having issues with excessive tire wear after the installation of our product

I weighed my stock set up vs my monster clutch and 18lb flywheel. They weigh almost the same, just a few pounds off. If you didn't use the 18lb flywheel you'd actually end up with a set up that is heavier than stock.

how much did the stock setup weigh? also did you weigh one brand new or a used one?

Stock setup was my used one. PP, fly, and disc came in at almost exactly 50lbs. The monster PP, lightweight flywheel, and disc weighed in at about 47lbs. So the monster set up with their 28lb fly will come in at about 57lbs, 7lbs heavier than the stock set up.

Disc weight varies, as the Level 2 and 4 are the heaviest. Our 28lb setup is closer to the weight of an LS7, being that it is also a 12" clutch

The monster stage 2 rocks, definitely could tell a difference in acceleration with their 18# flywheel compared to stock. As for drivability on the street I think that it feels about the same as stock.

How much RWHP would you say the extra 7 lbs. gives up? I've got a Monster Stage 2 with the 28 lb. flywheel sitting here waiting to go in, but I'm also on a quest to hit 400 RWHP right now and I'm at 385 RWHP right now. I really didn't plan on taking a step backwards at this point because of a heavier flywheel...but I do still want as close to stock driveability as I can get...
