Default monster stage 2 clutch got soaked

I have a stage 2 clutch in my Gto that I just finished a stroker build on. Long story short the rear cover was warped at the top and at the first start up oil poured out and it soaked the clutch disk. I called myself cleaning the hell out of it with brake clean (may of been a bad choice don't really know a better way to go) and now it slips pretty easily..what's the chances and/ or is there anything I can do to recover it and make it grab again or am I s.o.l and might as well buy a new one?

ping Monster.......I am not sure what can be used to clean it but would assume brake cleaner would be OK. With that said you did that and it slips....so maybe it can't be completely purged of oil.

Worst case you buy a new disc or get yours re-lined

From what I've gathered, kevlar is more prone to soak up fluids than an organic. My brother and another member on here had a similar issue with the disc becoming contaminated. Looks like you'll be needing to order a new disc.

Give us a call, we'll get you into another disc, Kevlar soaks up fluids and you can't brake clean them away unfortunately. Chris, 817-750-2000

Yeah thanks for the help. I'll order another disc for now I'm going to put a stave 3 in it and keep the stage 2 for back up or re sale it on here if anyone would be interested in it.
