Default Trying a new carb insulator

My car gets fussy when I shut it off and leave it sit for a bit in the heat. Once it is running for a while there is no problems, but if I shut it down to go into a store or something, the carburetor heat saturates and it is fussy as hell until it runs for a bit. I solved this problem right after I built the car with a half inch wood spacer from Edelbrock. However, once I installed my nitrous plate, I did not have enough hood clearance for the 1/2 wood spacer.

At last years Turkey Rod Run Car Show and Swap Meet at Daytona International Speedway (think huge beyond imagination event), I met a vendor who made thin custom heat shields and insulators out of a poly carbonate material and aluminum. I couldn't find the guys card anywhere, but I stumble across his website today and ordered one of these gimmicks. I will let you guys know how it works out.

I ordered Part #T154:

Check the temp of your carb. I found the fuel kept mine at a almost air temp cool. I took the spacer off an added a plate for a 100 shot. Good stuff

I didn't have much luck out of the aluminum one on my old sbc, still boiled the fuel. When I switched to the wood one, it went away.
I used on similar to this, it was a 1 inch though

Yeah, that is the thing with Aluminum. I wish they made nitrous plates out of some type of insulator.
