Default A4 guys, post your shift speed settings

I was just kind of curious what mph shift speeds different people are using for different desired engine rpm shift speed.

For example...If you have the ls1 edit RPM shift set to 6600 for the 1-2 and 2-3 gear changes, what mph are you setting the 1-2 and 2-3 shift at?

In my case, I have the engine rpm shift speed set to 6600 for both the 1-2 and the 2-3 gear change. I have the 1-2 set to 43 mph and the 2-3 set to 85 mph. My rev limiter is at 6800 rpm. I'm thinking the 2-3 is a touch high because once in a while I just kiss the rev limiter on the 2-3 gear change.

I'm wanting to see what settings others are using.

Thanks,
Jordan

Well, it will be different depending on tire size, rear gear and I think
torque converter. My contention is that the mph needs to be set somewhat lower for a typical high stall converter, as there will be a certain amount of slippage. I can't help you with my settings, besides what my gear and tire diameter are, as my converter is being redone and was slipping too much and I actually had a shifting too early problem. I would just set the mph about 10% below where a gear/rpm/mph calculator would otherwise tell you.

running 231/237 yank st3500 3.23 gear
have limiter set @ 6800 shift 1-2 @6600 @ 37 mph, 2-3 shift @6500 @ 77 mph > if I set 2-3 @ 6600 WILL hit limit each time shift 2-3 wot ( the shifts DO not shift at these settings ( 37 and 77 - which I set with edit- do shift by rpm and not by mph ) hope this answer is not confusion
