Default Front mount turbo, PS cooler???

Anyone running a front mount turbo without a power steering cooler with any success? I'm in the middle of my build right now and torn between if i want to put a different cooler in the pwer steering system or not. My car, once its done will not be daily driven or AutoX'ed or road raced, but i'm worried about the extra heat under the hood. so is anyone running one with any success?

I am running the factory PS cooler on my GTO with a front mount turbo. I did flip the cooler and re-route lines. I'm not sure if that answers your question.

We'll i'm not sure how the GTO PS cooler is routed. Does it have the same cooler as the 98-02 LS1 F-bodies? I've heard back things about the stock PS cooler for the the 4th gen F-bodies, that the seals go bad over time and mix the coolant and PS fuild, so i wanted to either do away with that inline radiator hose cooler or put in an aftermarket style cooler.

The GTO unit is air cooled in front of the radiator (behind my intercooler).

I took the cooler off of mine and have not had a problem. Even with spirited back road driving.

With the fbody cooler and a turbo right below it it turns into a heater. I took it off a year ago and never looked back

When I did an autox event my power steering was starting to wine at last turn and steering got heavy. So I would say use a cooler if your going to be doing autox or road racing.
