Default 75 corvette

I am putting a lq4 into a75 vette. I am just trying to do a budget build, trying to keep it around $1k for performance parts. What should I get? I have the ls1 intake and z06 exhaust manifolds already.

I've got an LQ9 in my 68 vette. On a budget...just put the motor in, see how you like it before upgrades.

Nice, did you do any upgrades to your motor, how do you like it?

Game plan was cam, L92 heads, etc. But the LQ9 with Z06 exhaust puts out about 400hp. That combined with the Richmond 6 speed would overpower the stock tires anyway.
A kind of after the fact build thread

Oh yeah, the LS1 intake will probably run out of flow at around 400hp. So any upgrades would require an expensive LS6 or aftermarket intake.

Like Gary, I wouldn't do much more to the engine for a budget build. I would use the $1000 to match everything in the drive line. You didn't say what trans you were using. I would use an overdrive and match the rear diff to it. Get the most out of the swap by matching everything.

I like in tank fuel pumps. Probably not required, but I prefer them. Here is my C3 version. Vetteworks sells a kit.
